Privacy Policy

FC Sourcing (sourcing.fcwebdesign.net) provides an industrial parts sourcing service from Val-David, Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (including the amendments of Law 25).

1. Person in charge of personal information

The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the owner of FC Sourcing. For any question, or to request access, correction or deletion, write to: francois@fcwebdesign.net.

2. Information we collect

When you use our request form, we only collect what you choose to give us:

• your name and email address;
• your company name, phone number and industry (optional);
• the description of the parts you need, the urgency level and your details;
• any photos or documents you attach to the form or send us by email.

3. Why we use it

This information is used only to handle your request: do the research, send you the results and follow up. An automatic confirmation email is sent to let you know your request was received.

4. Consent

By checking the box on the form and sending it, you consent to the use of your information for the purposes described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.

5. Search tools and sharing with third parties

We never sell, rent or trade your information. It is only shared with the providers we need:

• Hosting and email: our web and email host (Hostinger), which may store data outside Quebec.
• Search tools: to find your parts, we use search engines and artificial intelligence tools, some of which are located outside Quebec and Canada. We submit the technical information about the parts (part numbers, brands, specifications) to them, never your name or contact details.

If you send us a photo or a document (purchase order, parts list), it may be analyzed by these tools to read the part numbers. If possible, remove any personal or confidential information you don't want to share.

6. Retention and security

Requests sent through the form (and their attached files) are kept on our server, in a private area that cannot be accessed from the Internet, only until they are transferred to our work software; they are then deleted from the server. Your information is then kept in our email and work tools, protected by password, only as long as needed to handle your request and follow up on our business relationship. It is then deleted. The site is served securely (HTTPS).

7. Cookies

Our site does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools. It uses fonts and photos hosted by external services (Google Fonts, Unsplash), which may receive technical browsing data, such as your IP address.

8. Your rights

You may at any time ask to access your information, have it corrected or have it deleted, by writing to francois@fcwebdesign.net. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
