Terms of Service

In short: we find information about parts (who sells them, where, and which equivalents exist). We do not sell, buy, import or ship any parts. The purchase decision, the final verification of the part, and all purchasing, shipping, customs and compliance formalities remain the client's responsibility. We do not guarantee the parts, their compatibility, or the accuracy of the information published by suppliers: we find, the client validates.
1. The service
FC Sourcing (sourcing.fcwebdesign.net), operated by a self-employed professional based in Val-David, Quebec, Canada, provides an information research service about industrial parts: possible suppliers, apparent availability, part numbers and equivalent parts. The service is intended mainly for businesses.
2. What we do not do
- We do not sell parts and do not act as an intermediary, agent, broker or importer.
- We do not place orders on the client's behalf and do not handle payment, shipping or customs clearance.
- We do not provide engineering, legal, tax or customs advice.
3. Nature of the results
- Results reflect the information found on the date of the research. Prices, stock, lead times and part numbers may change without notice at the suppliers.
- Our research uses online tools, including artificial intelligence tools, and is checked before sending; it may nevertheless contain errors or omissions.
- The points to confirm listed in our answers (dimensions, specifications, seller identity, etc.) must be verified by the client before any purchase.
4. Equivalent parts, installation and safety
An "equivalent" part is a lead to be validated. Before purchase and installation, the client must confirm compatibility, technical specifications and safety with the manufacturer, the supplier or a qualified person. Installation, commissioning and equipment compliance are the client's responsibility.
5. Purchasing from suppliers
Any purchase is made directly between the client and the supplier, under the supplier's terms. We are not responsible for the prices, lead times, deliveries, warranties, returns, quality or authenticity of parts sold by third parties, nor for a seller's conduct (particularly on online marketplaces).
6. Customs, import and export
- Customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees and any other import or export charges are the client's responsibility.
- The client is responsible for complying with applicable import and export laws and regulations, including export controls, economic sanctions and restrictions on certain countries, persons or goods.
- The client is responsible for checking that the part meets the standards and certifications required where it will be used (for example, certification of electrical equipment in Canada).
7. Service price
The price of a search is communicated to the client before we start. No billable work is undertaken without their agreement. Applicable taxes are extra, where applicable.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any cause whatsoever is limited to the amount paid by the client for the research concerned. We are not liable for indirect damages, including production downtime, lost revenue or replacement costs. Nothing herein limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law.
9. Privacy
Information provided is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
11. Changes
